Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi Redmi A5 in India on April 16, 2025, and it's a phone that leans heavily into display quality. Up front is a 6.88 inches (17.48 cm) IPS LCD display, running at a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate and pushing out a sharp 6500 x 4920 Pixels resolution.
Powering things is the Unisoc T7250 chipset, paired with 3 GB / 4 GB of RAM — plenty of muscle for daily multitasking and heavier apps alike. On the software side, it ships with Android v15 out of the box.
Selfies and video calls are handled by a 8 MP front camera for sharper, well-focused shots.
Storage is fixed at 64 GB / 128 GB, and the phone supports 4G bands Expand. In terms of build, it measures 171.7 mm x 77.8 mm x 8.2 mm and weighs 193 grams.
On connectivity, the Xiaomi Redmi A5 supports 5G Not Supported, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack. Security is handled via a fingerprint sensor.
